Outwardly you walk down the isle with family and friends looking on, a passage of only a few minutes. But inwardly you are undertaking a much longer journey, enacting a transition from one way of life to another.
By the time you take your place, you will feel as if you have taken a very long journey. You have walked through the entire length of your relationship, from courtship to the commitment that has brought you to this moment.
