It is as easy!
#1 Sign up - Visit www.flickr.com and there is a ton of buttons on the page that will give easy to follow directions to create a yahoo/Flickr account. The free option of Flickr works great!
#2 Upload photos - Flickr will give you easy to follow instructions on uploading when you first create your Flickr account. Otherwise, you can always find an upload button on the bottom of every Flickr page.
#3 Join & Comment - Join the O'Donnell Jones Wedding Group and add your wedding pics in your Flickr photostream to the group. Explore the collection of wedding photos and join the conversation & contests by making comments on photos. Don't forget to check back for new comments!
I love the "comment feature" that allows users to talk about their favorite photos and moments. I have added some comments so keep your eyes open and jump into the conversation!
Follow this link to see my photostream on Flickr. I have already posted pictures from Mom on my Hippyhippyred photostream.
I have set up a "group" for us on Flickr. Follow this link to the O'Donnell Jones Wedding group. Guests who post their photos on Flickr can then add their photos to group and everyone can view the photos in one concise photostream. I have also posted to Flickr images that we have received on photo CDs. You can see them now in the O'Donnell Jones Wedding Group on Flickr! For further information about posting to a group see the blog post below.Follow this link to start posting to Flickr.
We hope you will sign up for Flickr and post images from the wedding for us all to enjoy & share.
FAQ
Do I have to have a Yahoo! account to sign up for Flickr?
Yes. When you sign up for a new Flickr account, you'll need to sign in with your Yahoo! ID. If you don't have a Yahoo! account, you can create a new one by clicking the "Sign Up" link Yahoo! sign in page.
What you get with a Free Account:
* 100 MB monthly photo upload limit (10MB per photo)
* 2 video uploads each month (90 seconds max, 150MB per video)
* Photostream views limited to the 200 most recent images
* Post any of your photos in up to 10 group pools
* Only smaller (resized) images accessible (though the originals are saved in case you upgrade later)
Tips & Tricks
With the free account resize photos to be more "web-friendly." (like 300KB instead of 5MB)
You can't recover any of your monthly allowance by deleting photos. If you have a free account, you'll see your limit on the upload page.
If you have fewer than 200 photos, we display them all. If you have more than 200 photos, only the most recent 200 are displayed.
How do I get started ordering prints?
Step 1 If you have a credit card billing address in the U.S., you can buy prints via the Flickr website. You'll see an "Order Prints" option on any photo you have permission to print, and also an option to print a whole set at a time (if you have permission).
How can I get photos delivered?
We provide two options: Pick up at a Target store or delivery by mail. Part of the ordering process is choosing the method you want to use. Mail delivery is a bit cheaper, if you can stand the wait!
